Historical Tours
If you would like to book a historical tour of the mansion you can do this privately or when we have open public tours. The open public tours, when available, are a cost of $5 for anyone age 5 and older. Public tours last about 1 hour.
Private tours are also available. These are available at $10 a person. You will be given a tour of the building as well as the history. The private tours last approximately 90 minutes and will give you more time for pictures and time to enjoy the building and grounds.
During the tour your guide will tell about the 3 generations of Cheney's to live in the Mansion.
Paranormal Investigations
If you want to face your fears this is the place to do it. Don't let the beautiful building and gorgeous contents fool you this location will take you in quickly. With the hidden room for slaves that's hard to get out of once you are in to Old Man Cheney letting you know if he wants you to go the night will be quite the experience. As we all know you can't make the spirits of the building tap dance on cue but you will have an enjoyable evening.
We have multiple buildings on our campus for investigation.
A private investigation is available from 6pm - 1am for up to 8 people for $300. If you would like to add up to 2 additional people you can for $40 each. Money from investigations goes to help preserve the building and keeping it available for others to enjoy as well. There are hotels locally or within 20 minutes from the Mansion should you want to spend the night before the drive home. All investigators must be 18 years of age and identification may be required. A non-refundable deposit of $150 must be made to reserve a date and the balance is due 4 weeks prior to your investigation. You can reschedule one time during the calendar year if you do so prior to the balance being due. Just email or call us with any questions.
